As we all together now and yes we can, where one never could one alone could never, being part in a gentle voiding of superfluid comfort, a little bit of flooring underneath.
Through body, hose, 37 degrees, this democratic sculpture comprised of liquid logic, an accumulation of us.

 The universe of Gelatin could be defined as a stupendous extravagant jumble. To quote the artists: "Gelatin is like a salad. It grows on a field of possibilities. It has leaves. Each member of Gelatin grows over and into each other. Sometimes the folds are very complex, sometimes simple manifolds. The works crumble out like earth between the leaves. Sometimes the salad is blue, sometimes green, sometimes yellow, and sometimes rotten." The work of the Viennese collective, which consists of performances, installations, plasticine paintings & collages, watercolors, furniture, sculpture, etc., is always characterized by a contagious, childlike enthusiasm. Their practice is hell-bent on creating new hedonistic and physical experiences. Excited to a state of eruption, they stimulate the audience to participate with their ideas and to bring something in. Their work often deals with the body that functions as a common language. Sometimes, the body gets reduced to a purely digestive system. Dealing with defecation provokes; obsessions come to the surface with a profound pursuit of freedom bursting all over.

Gelatin is comprised of four artists. They first met in 1978, when they all attended a summer camp. They have been playing and working together since then. From 1993 they began exhibiting internationally. They have exhibited globally with museums and leading art galleries including solo shows at Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville, Paris; Galerie Nicola von Senger AG, Zürich; Carlson Gallery, London; Galleria Massimo de Carlo, Milan; Galerie Meyer Kainer, Vienna; Gagosian Gallery, London; Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Paris, Miami; Greene Naftali Gallery, New York; group shows at Hayward Gallery, London; Centre Pompidou, Paris.

is "All Together Now" een nieuwe poging om een democratische sculptuur te creëren.
 
Dit is wat men kan verwachten:
All Together Now and yes we can, waar men immers nooit alleen kon, deel zijn van een zachte afscheiding van vloeibaar comfort, een klein beetje vloer eronder.
Door lichaam en slang, 37 graden, bestaat deze democratische sculptuur gemaakt van vloeibare logica als een accumulatie van ons.
Binnen buiten binnen.
Het ledigen van elkaar voor elkaars comfort.
Doe mee met ons, deel jezelf, voel je vrij en geef je honing om ons leven te zoeten.
 
Het universum van Gelatin kan men definiëren als een enorme extravagante chaos. Om de kunstenaars te citeren: "Gelatin is net een krop sla, die groeit op een veld van mogelijkheden. Net als bladeren groeit elk lid van Gelatin over en in elkaar. Soms zijn de plooien zeer complex, dan weer eenvoudig. De werken kruimelen hier uit zoals aarde tussen de bladeren. Soms is de sla blauw, soms groen, soms geel en soms rot." Het werk van het Weense collectief, dat bestaat uit performances, installaties, plasticine schilderijen & collages, aquarellen, meubels, sculpturen, enz., wordt steeds gekenmerkt door een besmettelijk, kinderlijk enthousiasme en richt zich op het creëren van nieuwe hedonistische en lichamelijke ervaringen. Ze stimuleren het publiek om deel te nemen en met hun ideeën iets in te brengen. Hun werk handelt vaak over het lichaam dat functioneert als een collectieve taal. Soms wordt het lichaam gereduceerd tot louter een spijsverteringsstelsel. Werken rond defecatie provoceert; obsessies komen aan de oppervlakte met een intense zucht naar vrijheid.
 
Gelatin bestaat uit vier kunstenaars. Ze ontmoetten elkaar in 1978, toen ze allen deelnamen aan een zomerkamp. Sindsdien spelen en werken ze samen. Vanaf 1993 begonnen ze internationaal te exposeren. Ze hebben wereldwijd tentoongesteld bij musea en toonaangevende galeries waaronder solotentoonstellingen in het Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville, Parijs; Galerie Nicola von Senger AG, Zürich; Carlson Gallery, Londen; Galleria Massimo de Carlo, Milaan; Galerie Meyer Kainer, Wenen; Gagosian Gallery, Londen; Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Parijs, Miami; Greene Naftali Gallery, New York; groepstentoonstellingen onder andere bij Hayward Gallery, Londen; Centre Pompidou, Parijs.
