Tim Van Laere Gallery will be opening a new space on Via Giulia in Rome. This will be our second gallery. We are currently seeking a new Gallery Manager Director who will be the sole person in the gallery with the addition of members of the Antwerp team. As a Gallery Manager Director, your main responsibility will be the day-to-day running and organization of the gallery. Your role will require perfect administration skills, whilst also being able to plan and deliver events, maintain positive relationships with artists, curators and collectors, and keep up to date with the current art field. In the beginning, this position will also require to overlook the setup, remodeling, shipping, and other tasks required prior to the grand opening of the Gallery.

As part of our team, the Gallery Manager Director should always present him or herself as a professional with extensive knowledge of our artists and program, and keep the Gallery to the highest level while representing Tim Van Laere Gallery. 

 

Qualifications: 

​

• Languages: Italian and English – essential

• A clear understanding of the art world.

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Software to know: Mac environment

• Previous experience as a Gallery Manager is a plus.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills to promote the gallery.

• Sales experience is a plus.

• Experience in managing social media and mailings is very useful, and although not essential, the ability to use InDesign and Photoshop is an advantage.
